A couple of delightful drawings from Justice 39 (and possible
elsewhere) this week, featuring a blushing girl guide submitting to an inspection from the founder/leader of the troop.
To gain her ‘Be Prepared’ badge a girl guide has to overcome three challenges: the cane is one; we note there’s a slipper handy by the chair in the second picture, so that’s two. She’ll be very concerned about what the third challenge might be . . . but she desperately wants the badge, to add to the others already on her (discarded) shirt, in picture one.
