I’m going back to the beginning on the Join the Dots concept. This is the original letter from Blushes Supplement 6 that prompted a series of over 40 photo-sets with associated letters or stories which appeared in Blushes, Blushes Supplement, Uniform Girls and Whispers over the subsequent years. The first four in the series were numbered. This one featured the finest of the Blushes models (discuss). Dear Editor, Each issue of your magnificent magazine has been breath-taking. The photography is of the highest standard. The posing of the models superb. A combination of brilliant professionalism on the part of both director and models. The anguish on the models’ faces is the best ever produced by a C.P. magazine. People complain about lack of stripes showing on each caned bottom. From Blushes Supplement 5 Dear Editor, Your ‘Request’ idea is an excellent one! I especially enjoyed the girl in the ‘up-tight’ knickers and braces in your  Supplement Number Four . For myself, I should like to see a girl in shorts or a short skirt punished in the open air, with the possibility that her bared bottom might well become an object of attention for a surprised but interested passer-by. Perhaps a farm girl spanked in a haystack or similar or a cyclist or hitch-hiker punished by an irate farmer whose gate she has left open. Keep  Blushes  coming! M.V. From Blushes Supplement 2.  Some lovely pictures and ideas which sparked responses from the readership. Sir, In the first Blushes Supplement you did a  photo series  ’by request’ on suspenders and stocking tops and asked if there were other requests. Yes! I would like a photo series on girls in shorts! There were tantalising glimpses in the  series  [Jobsworth] printed to illustrate ‘Educating Sandra’ but that splendid girl was stripped naked too quickly. I do  not  mean modern athlete’s shorts with those side slits. They are too loose and too short. Punishment shorts should be thin and snug and cover the whole bottom and least two inches of thigh — so that the delicious sculptural shape of the girl bum — is seen as a whole. For penal whippings in Holland in the 19th century girls were fitted with such shorts (‘drawers’) when being ‘publicly’ whipped within prisons and it was quite usual to d...
