From New Blushes Uniform Girls 2.20, the first of two parts. The garden is spacious and secluded, its smooth lawns shielded from the summer’s heat by a profusion of mature, stately trees. It is late autumn now and all but the tall conifers have lost their greenery. But today is mild and the qirl who stands by the summer house is dressed in only a demure white dress. Yes, the setting is calm and peaceful, is the girl also? She does not in fact look too happy. She makes a face and then reluctantly it seems leaves the summer house and walks down a flight of low steps and then along a stone terrace. At the end of the terrace we can see there are two canvas garden chairs, also some croquet equipment against the adjoining low parapet. Dear Editor, What a marvellous magazine you produce. It is refreshing to see and read about so many precocious young ladies getting the correct treatment. So long as a girl is still at school, she should be treated as a schoolgirl, and punished when she steps out of line. A number of your articles deal with sexually over-active girls being punished with a good thrashing on that part of their anatomy which the Almighty provided for the purpose. It is my experience however, that such activity often begins at a much earlier age than most of the cases which you quote, and it is most important to nip such activity in the bud.
