  1. Nice one, Colin. One of my favourite photo sets which also adorned one of my absolute favourite stories - Video Lessons (though I'm aware that they originally appeared with an earlier story). I like it that you've managed to dress 'Ronald' in an Aran cardie also, which is really the de rigeur fashion these days for chaps in the 'new moral order'. The whole intensity of the pictures, in fact, seems to have been sharpened by your adjustments, particularly the sensation of motion around pretty Pam's head in the lower picture. It's funny because there's been a previous occasion when I've said one of the disciplinarians, a completely different fellow to this one, in your montages looked like Coronation Street's Percy Sugden. Well, the addition of a Santa's beard to 'Ronald' has, rather uncannily, had the same effect again! And, yes, I think arch no-nonsense, curmudgeon Percy really would have been a great 'Blushes-style' disciplinarian and girl trainer. I know you've previously alluded to 'Uncle Albert (Tatlock)' getting involved in Tracy Barlow's training but, to be honest, he was a bit before Tracy's time. Old Percy really would have been the man for the job.

    1. Thanks for the observations. I'm especially glad you like my work on the bottom picture: I'm pleased with how the sense of motion turned out, there - around her pretty head during her anguish - and the play of light across her lovely form. And I'm very happy to think of this chap as a Percy type! - CC

  2. Quite right about the Aran sweater. A good occupation for a girl’s idle hands: sitting on a hard wooden chair, often on a sore bottom, knitting just such a sweater for her disciplinarian. Perhaps an addition to the domestic service regime: not allowed to move onto a new posting until the sweater is complete. Which sets the stage for some Penelope-style unraveling by a gentleman who wants to ensure he can keep the girl for as long as he likes.

    1. The Aran cardie was there in the original but I wanted to accentuate it a bit. Such a good contrast with Moira/Pam's revealing, fluff-enhanced nightie, which felt a bit Christmas-y to me. - CC
