DOGGEDNESS

Dear Sirs,

I am writing as one who is generally dissatisfied with the ‘spanking’ magazines currently available, to congratulate you and encourage you on the path you are taking. I admire you for the doggedness with which you are harassing young women and schoolgirls in particular. As with all the magazines you are often too gentle with them and sometimes your stories become monotonous, but in general I get more of a kick from your publications than the others.

You have some nice girls to photograph, and I’m pleased to see that there are new faces and bottoms from time to time. The slightly plump blonde girl that appears in Uniform Girls as a drum majorette, and elsewhere as a convincing schoolgirl has the right look of authenticity about her. If they are too beautiful one imagines them being proud of their bodies, when ideally they should be embarrassed about their nudity. Also, this girl has good tits, a department in which many of your previous models have been sadly lacking. I don’t know if you are working on the theory that flat-chested girls look younger, but if you are I suggest you have a good look around the nearest school playground — girls grow up very young these days!

The right look of authenticity

So, in general I approve of your stories and photos — that only leaves the letters, I suppose, which you have little control over. However, thanks for selecting a few recently which have really gloated over the all-important aspect of humiliation. I have a feeling that some of these letters would have been too strong for many of your competitors, but believe me, they are just what the doctor ordered as far as I am concerned.

I’d like to see some more features and case histories as opposed to fiction. In your first ever issue there was such an article about a reform school, but since then the formula of photos and fiction and (sometimes) letters has been unrelieved. I do hope that Mr Saxon will be able to contribute the series ‘women through the ages’ which he outlined in a couple of letters. I have a feeling that such an investigation would confirm what I have always believed — that the so-called ‘enlightened’ attitudes we have today are the result of a sorry decline in the readiness of man to assert and defend his natural superiority over women.

The mere disparity in physical strength between the sexes should mean that women should never be an irritation to men. It is important to realise that any freedoms which women have been granted are purely a gift, a result of man’s magnanimity. Since they are now beginning to demand ‘rights’ it seems time to re-assert male dominance.

To this end I would like to see an upsurge in the use of physical punishment and humiliation as a means of controlling girls. Severe beatings should be a prominent part of a girl’s life in the sensitive and crucial teenage years, when her spirit needs to be subdued.

One should not look on caning simply as cure or retribution for wrongdoing but enjoy it as an end in itself. Caning girls is one of the few perks of the teaching profession and since every beating is a lesson by nature, teachers should be able to give one whenever they feel in the mood.

Outside school I should like to see the re-introduction of such devices as the scold’s bridle, the ducking-stool, and most of all public whippings and birchings for women. Once again, every punishment of a woman is both good for her and for any woman who hears about it or witnesses it, so no compunction should be felt about harsh sentences for trivial offences or even for the innocent.

If you think my suggestions outlandish, just remember that such things were once commonplace in this country, and harsh public punishment of women is still practised with enthusiasm in parts of the world. If there is any comfort to be gained from our current, lax situation, where females bask in male leniency and slouch or tease, it is that the shock of their comeuppance, when it arrives, will be all the greater. Feminine pride is at an all-time high at present, and how deep will be the hurt when the fall comes!

Finally, a few issues back you published a very interesting interview with a lady teacher from Scotland who had experience in C.P. Can we have more of this sort of thing, preferably male teachers who genuinely enjoyed hurting girls?

QUIBBLES

Dear Sirs,

I have just seen the excellent Blushes 14. Your magazine remains at the top of its league by a long way. Many of your correspondents have complimented your imaginative photography and splendid storylines; but the layout too excites admiration for the skill with which the whole is blended together. I am convinced that your great advantage over your competitors is that Blushes looks so good.

If I now seem to quibble it is only from the point of view of a minor preference (or a desire for perfection). Two of the features in Blushes 14 present your readers with models of the kind which only you can seem to encourage over some lucky chap’s knees — that is the Misses Marsden and Melissa. The (albeit) small photo of Miss Marsden’s wonderful bottom on page 49 is simply entrancing. On page 61 that of Melissa is almost a classic.

Yet to this sharp-eyed connoisseur a surprising (or perhaps not?) detail is apparent after prolonged study: Both young ladies are wearing a suspender belt and both have their back straps adjusted in exactly the same way; that is, the left hand strap traces over the left side of the upturned bottom, whilst the right hand strap angles straight down the leg. I’ve considered a number of possibilities, namely; both young ladies are left-handed; or, are wearing a recalcitrant suspender belt which is difficult to adjust to their comfort. But the most likely explanation to me would appear to be instructions ‘from above’ — ‘dressed to order’ as it were. I feel it would have improved both sets — ‘unbeatable’ (groan) — to have had the straps of the suspenders over both bottom-cheeks. Photos which follow this practice create a symmetry which is hard to put into words — but then, a picture is worth a thousand well-chosen words.

A truly delightful set I saw some years ago in a former ‘staring’ publication now on its way out, played the changes on a superb bottom framed by exactly positioned suspenders with the young ladies knickers (a) above the stockings and clips but below the bottom cheeks, (b) straddling the ‘vee’ of the pulled-up stocking tops, (c) and, finally below the entire ‘ensemble’, but not out of view. If suspenders are to be worn I always like them to be ‘involved’, as it were.

Please take these words as a compliment. Your rivals only provoke one to comment ‘Why bother?’

Dear Sirs,

I have recently bought, by mail-order, a back-number copy of your Blushes Issue number 2, and am fascinated by one illustrated account in the letters section, of the typist who was spanked by her employer. Especially so because……

Perhaps you have more photographs of her which might jog my memory — according to the letter there were, apparently, a number of other photos which you have not printed. Could you do so if possible, please?

Aside from this, why don’t you publish more material of the same authentic kind, instead of stories which are fiction? I’m sure lots of people would agree with me that there is nothing to compare with reality when it comes to spanking girls’ bottoms.

The writer of the above letter says, in an unpublished paragraph, that he thinks he knew the girl in question (but as Carol, not Christine), and names a well-known company as her one-time place of work. Since the information may be wrong, discretion dictates that it should not be passed on without firm corroboration; there is no reason why we shouldn’t publish a photo from the same source however, although it is unlikely to jog anyone’s memory who didn’t know the girl better than he is presently admitting.

Naturally we would like to publish ‘more material of the same authentic kind’, but we can’t do it unless our readers send it in; one public-spirited soul has strung a girl up in his garage and sent us some pictures (his wife’s sister, apparently, the background to which situation makes interesting reading, R.B., and please see our remarks on the relevant page, by the way) but we must hope that others have their consciences pricked and send us some more photos with relevant information as to who, when. where, etc.

MORE STING PLEASE

Dear Blushes,

I’m glad to see that you are prospering and I wish you continued success in 1986. You now have four titles out, which must be a record for any publisher in the spanking field. Obviously this is good news, for the more regular the stimulation of our lecherous instincts the better, though these views may not be shared by teenaged girls.

However, please forgive me if I suggest that you could be a little more adventurous. The four titles are rather too similar in style, perhaps, and none of them really challenges the established and rather moderate character of the spanking press. Rather than embarrass the lovers of mild C.P with further riches, surely we could have just one magazine for the fans of the more stringent forms of discipline and humiliation of girls. Maybe the generally bland magazine with the occasional dash of spite is the only form which is at present legally acceptable — in which case I can only plead for more sting in the cocktail whenever you can provide it.

I hope that you will allow me to pass a few comments on your magazines as a purely personal reaction.

Flagship

Blushes: the flagship of your fleet, a role which it fills with some success. I enjoy the letters most of all and am very disappointed when there aren’t many. The stories are generally good, sometimes superb (can we have a progress report on the Guardian’s Club?) and occasionally very dull (the ‘brilliant new writer’ you introduced a while back is far too flowery in his choice of language and not punchy enough in his choice of subject matter). I’d like to see more factual/historical and archive material, more drawings and more documents and photographs from readers. Your own photos are generally of a high standard though there are not enough tears or weals. Your schoolgirls are nice and young (keep them young!) though skirts are often too short for real schoolgirls — and contrary to what some of your older readers would have us believe, stockings and suspenders are utterly inappropriate. Features such as Linda’s Column are at best a bore and at worst detract from my enjoyment of the magazine. I want to see your models suffer, not get chummy with them. One of your photo-sets had the girl smiling halfway through which is a complete let down. By all means let’s see them full of optimism and chirpiness before the treatment begins, but once their knickers are down they should be demoralised and distraught. My general conclusion of Blushes is that it is still the best magazine out, though showing signs of softening.

EXCELLENT IDEA

Blushes Supplement: When originally announced it seemed to be a wholly excellent idea — a cheap tonic between issues of the main magazine. However, the price has rocketed and we don’t get two magazines a month as was originally implied. I never miss an issue of Blushes but I look very carefully at the contents of the Supplement before committing myself to paying for such a slim volume. The By Request feature is a good idea, though reactions to individual items will be necessarily subjective. Personally I’d rather see more bizarre requests catered for as it is more of a hit or miss publication and one readers erotic jackpot is another’s anathema.

MOST EXCITING

Uniform Girls: Potentially the most exciting idea of all. Although school girls, and to a lesser extent nurses, have been exploited time and time again to great effect by pornography there are still plenty of organisations for young girls who have had it coming to them for far too long. I am delighted to see Salvation Army girls, girl guides, choir girls, being treated not only as sex objects but made the targets for punishment fantasies. Inevitably attractive members of these thoroughly respectable institutions will find themselves being compared with the provocative models in your magazine and thus subject to lecherous and vindictive scheming and dreaming. So far your product has something of a ‘toe in the water’ feel to it, but I do hope that it will soon gather strength. I’d like to see drum majorettes, waitresses, members of West Indian steel bands, girl pipers, Girl’s Brigade, ballet students and gymnasts all caught in the net of sado-masochism. Uniform Girls is the publication that would most gain from a correspondence section and reader’s contributions. All over the country girls are decked out in potentially masturbatory costumes for quite innocent purposes and I would dearly like to see them exploited without mercy. Photographs from school productions, hockey and netball teams, marching band competitions, especially at local level, could yield rich harvests — also the reproduction of articles and pictures from newspapers that feature girls in sexy uniforms. There was recently a report in the tabloids about a group of student nurses who picketed a sex cinema because they thought that the blue films on offer there, exploiting nurses, had contributed to the sexual harassment they had suffered — such an article in the context of your magazine would be even more amusing. Could we also have authoritative features on the evolution of uniforms and the variations from school to school or hospital to hospital.

Whispers: I have nothing constructive to say about this as I think I should reserve judgement until I have seen more than one issue.

There we are then. I hope that you don’t think I have been too harsh. I still regard Blushes as the major hope for mankind, however much I may yearn for greater piquancy in its contents.
