Poor Julie 1
To celebrate the one year anniversary of the launch of the blog, from today I will add two more weekly features — readers letters every Tuesday and a comic strip or other artwork every Tuesday. When added to the existing regular posts — videos on Mondays and stories on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays — that will mean posts every day of the week apart from Thursdays, which I will leave open (for now) for ad hoc posts of original work, etc.
I will kick off the new schedule with this piece from Janus
31…
Poor Julie ran in Janus for 18 episodes, telling the
heart-breaking story of Julie and her trials and tribulations at the hands
of her “uncle” and his cohorts. It is by Baldur Grimm (a.k.a. Erich von Gotha,
both pseudonyms of the illustrator Robin Ray) who is a master at drawing
beautiful put-upon innocents.
At this point, I would just like to say, thank you Mr Evans, for all of your sterling efforts and for producing, once again, such a fantastic blog. I was really disappointed when the previous one disappeared, so it has been so great to have you back again. Long may you continue!
