Impertinence
A classic movie featuring the lovely Lucy Bailey.

A young lady makes up a very naughty poem about her maths
master. He is furious and she is summoned to his study. She is strapped face
down across a table as the first part of her punishment. She is then made to
read each verse of the poem. After each one, she gets three strokes of the cane
on her bare bottom. So flustered is she that she repeats a verse by mistake:
and still gets the three strokes for the extra verse. Brilliant acting by two
performers deep into the scenario. When it was originally released in 1996, it
was considered one of the masters of its time.

Schoolgirls without pants; a crack across the bottom will
clarify any schoolgirl’s mind. Mr Solway, an English don, carefully puts on
his academic gown in order to formally deal with Virginia Bottomley, played by
actress Lucy Bailey, who has not only done poorly on her math exam but has had the temerity to write naughty
couplets about his well-known CP
fascination in her blue book. Ms Bailey is a plausible young pigtailed
blonde, bashful of countenance.
After he spanks her through a multiplication table drill, Solway will make her read the poems aloud and pay in stripes. ‘Take off your
skirt… take off your knickers.’ Solway is the most like professors we have had
of any CP actor we have seen. Ms Bailey’s long blouse covers everything like a
nightgown. This must have been a wardrobe mistake, because in this early Moonglow
era a shorter blouse would have put her in the dilemma of having to keep
tugging it down to cover her vitals. ‘Hand me the strap.’
Virginia lies over a round table and Solway counts out 20
strokes after he got the blouse out of the way. The camera could not quite
handle an effective view. Virginia is sent to the wall and knew to pull up her
blouse to expose her red cheeks without direction.
But there are more couplets, almost x-rated. She is bent
over a desk, giving us the first full buttocks shot in the film. She must read
a couplet and take two strokes of the cane for each. Harder and harder, 7
poems, 14 lines. It becomes more difficult.
The last couplet, about bulges in his trousers, she
hesitates to read, so she must place two chairs back-to-back, kneel and lean
far over, head down, for another twelve, then a bend-over, 12 more. She
struggles to replace the furniture, dress, and leave.
A simple ritual-spanking,
well done by two experienced actors.
There are two poems that Mr Solway finds in Virginia
Bottomley’s exercise book. The first one, which earns her the strapping, is:
Mr Solway’s a ponce and a squirt,
Who puts his hand up a schoolgirl’s skirt
Mr Solway’s a scab and a scum,
Who likes the feel of a schoolgirl’s bum
Mr Solway’s a dirty old man,
He uses his cane whenever he can
Mr Solway should be given the sack
Tomorrow,
and never allowed to come back
The second one, which then earns her a hard caning as she
reads out each rhyming couplet, is:
Solway’s decided to give me the cane.
He gets the pleasure and I get the pain
Solway will tell me to take off my skirt,
To take down my knickers and lift up my shirt
Solway will say ‘Now bend over the chair,
With your arms on the seat and your bum in the air.’
Solway pretends it’s part of the drill,
But the sight of my bottom will give him a thrill
Solway delays for as long as he can.
Keeping me waiting is part of his plan
Solway will tell me to keep very still.
He knows that I can’t but it adds to his thrill
Solway’s a sod and a sadist as well.
He canes me very slowly and it stings me like hell
Solway will smile as he tells me to go,
Hoping

Yes, the wardrobe department could certainly have done with a thrashing for that huge blouse. Schoolgirl blouses, as we all know, should always end above the bu...er...bottom! That one certainly protected far too much of that young lady's modesty.
ReplyDeleteWonderful movie overall, regardless. Splendid fellow wielding the cane (and strap). Just the type we need when it comes to girl training and discipline. I've seen him before in a couple of movies online in which he plays a chap called Sir Roderick, dealing with a pair of naughty maids, and teaching them his 'ten commandments'. Most enjoyable. I thought he was a bit too lenient in this movie when it came to the matter of unauthorised bottom rubbing. After all, an injunction against rubbing one's self without permission is Sir Roderick's tenth commandment! Any of that and the stroke should surely be repeated.
The really great thing about this movie is the 'surprise' twelve cane strokes awarded for the final couplet. "Hoping the bulge in his trousers won't show"?! Impertinence indeed! Not only, as Mr Solway says, should a young, supposedly innocent, teenage schoolgirl not be thinking of such things, it's no business of hers anyway if a chap is enjoying himself.
Very good position for those final twelve with the elbows on the front adjoining seat and the bottom nicely lifted upwards. A really good, hard and well merited caning.
If Lucy is really keen on such 'poetry', perhaps she would care to learn and recite the following verses?:
To stop my knickers falling down
And cluttering up the floor
To wriggle when my teacher spanks
Is what my bottom's for
To make me careful in my work
To make me try much more
To make me do my very best
Is what a spanking's for
Good point about the blouse. Looks to me like they might have forgotten a blouse and tie and had to borrow one of Mr Solway's for the purpose.
DeleteAgain, the chap in this is well known to me from 'Sir Roderick's Commandments' and 'Is This Dust I See?' Lovely to see him here. He genuinely seems to be of good stock, and he is certainly articulate and well educated (perhaps the owner of a manor house of the sort used as a location for some of the classier 'Blushes' photoshoots). He's maybe a little too frail readily to sport a lump in his trousers, but there's a sprightly venom in his caning technique.
