A lovely idea and such a sweet faced girl, thanks Darcy. However, I am not sure that staying still until the final colour sample should earn remission from the cane. After all, there was a time when a naive apprentice in the painting and decorating trade would be sent on a fool’s errand to buy a tin of ‘striped paint’…
One can always offer the possibility of earning remission from the cane just to see what a girl might be prepared to do, but we all know she will get the cane in the end anyway...
'Volcanic Red' seems a very nice shade. Now it's time to fetch the cane.
